The Wrong Squid: Arctic Safari
I don't really have all that much to say, I just kind of wanted to see if this Robot thingy works with Safari, Apple's fancy web browser. I guess it's not that fancy, but it works with OS X, which in my experience is more than you can expect from IE, at least if you want text to show up the first time. Navigator has long since ceased to be an option.
Anyway, I've been pretty quiet because 2003 has been kind of sucky so far for me. My elderly aunt died New Year's day, which was very sad but not entirely unexpected. I was able to say goodbye a few days before, and my parents were with her when she died. Then the day after the funeral I had to go in for dental surgery. Gum grafts. It wasn't actually anywhere near as painful as I thought, but it was kind of annoying having to chew only on one side of my mouth for 2 weeks, and not being able to brush half my teeth. And to make matters worse, one graft didn't take so I have to go through it again on the same spot in 4 weeks. At least I won't have to pay again.
I guess the good news is that my band's CD was voted one of the best EPs of 2002 by a Dutch web page, and we're playing in DC on Valentine's Day. The Royal Lee in Arlington, if anyone from DC is listening. And our drummer just ordered us all tuxedo t-shirts, so maybe 2003 is starting to look good.
