I know most people are wondering where the pictures of floods and mass destruction are. I'm only going to include one, just for completions sake.
Jefferson Parish received about five feet of flood water, which receded in the first three days. (some parts did not recede and were completely under water, but not in our sector.) Most of the damage was wind damage, and tree damage (caused by falling trees.) Hurricane damage is very strange. On some streets, every tree was ripped out of the ground and laying the street or in someone's home. Houses were demolished, fences were just simply gone. The next block over, nothing. People were out mowing thier lawns and cleaning up leaves. Some houses were destroyed by flood waters, others just got wet.
This house was simply gone. The wind took it and spread it out around the neighborhood.
