sunshine jen: Eleven Eleven and Eleven
Today is the eleventh of November, 2011 or 11/11/11 (or 11/11/11 in the US). Yes, we have achieved one-ness (or eleven-ness if you want to be precise).
Back in college, I wrote a story about a planet that worships the number eleven. I looked for it for this piece, but I could not find it. That’s okay. I’ll let it go.
Maybe today is a good day to let it go. Mark the day, then let it pass.
In a year, a month, and a day, we’ll be at 12/12/12. Not as pretty as 11/11/11, but it has a nice rhythm to it.
As I was walking into the office this morning, I heard Rodrigo y Gabriela on the radio. They quickened my step on a cloudy LA morning.
