Tropical Depression: just a quick list
Things that are lame about living in Hawaii
and then the reason it's actually not so lame
if that's possible.
Old men with ponytails. Nothing but lame.
The guys who will only date Asian women. Who'd want to date them anyway?
Lack of fashion sense. Saves money on clothes.
Busloads of tourists. They are safe from any actual experience of the culture because it's not what they want anyway.
People who are "living for today". Makes it easier to find the people who plan ahead.
The near complete marginalization of the native culture. Small groups fighting back.
Skin cancer. Awesome beaches and surfing.
The brain drain. The weather makes it easier to not make what I'm worth.
Flying roaches and poisonous centipedes. Ants will pretty much will do the
dishes for you and then disappear.
People come and go. I'll get back to you on this one.
