Tropical Depression: silver quarter
I had something else for you but a great thing happened today that I am excited about.

I stopped on my way to the beach to get a Coke (there are few Coke purveyors in this state. We are owned my the mormon Pepsi/Pizza Hut/Taco Bell franchise. So it's important to know where to go for the good fountain drink). I asked for a large but got an Obscenely Large soda for a buck-fitty. My change from the soda purchase included a quarter from 1960. All quarters from before 1965 are pure silver and have (supposedly) been taken out of circulation.

Recently I gave away a ring I made from a quarter dated 1940. I gave it away for a few reasons but, really, I just thought things would turn out better than they did. Alas.
Whaddayagonnado?

I am thrilled to have this opportunity again to make a ring for myself.

Check your quarters folks. And if you like, I will make you a ring, too.
