Art Colony: remember...the Wrigley?

funny tv story background, you need the background to understand the joke...
Me and boyfriend were mindlessly watching TV a couple of weeks ago, and we hit on the OC NORTH SHORE. Now, some people really like this show: since b-friend is actually from California (Laguna Nigel, to be precise) he finds the premise to be weirdely annoying and twisted. Somehow, as somebody who grew up in Milwaukee, I don't think I could ever imagine a TV show called "Whitefish Bay" or "Glendale" being quite as popular--no surfers is a problem. Anyways, the OC NORTH SHORE episode had Shannen Doherty as some annoying catty woman who decided to take over a hotel in Hawaii and fire her sister who was trying to get back together with this guy, but this guy really liked her but HE was getting set up in a trap with a lingerie model by Shannen. Then there was this surfer guy who was entering a major surfing contest but got a no-good beach bum babe a job with his Hawaiian friend as a waitress, but he ended up having to replace her and miss his big contest because she had a hangover which wasn't really a hangover. And then there was this blond woman whose husband broke his ankle in the Hawaiian jungle and was stuck there with this curly-haired woman who wanted to keep him all to herself so she kept on trying to seduce him and hurt his ankle more so that he'd have to stay in the jungle with her (kind've like MISERY in the tropics, maybe?) while the blond woman he left behind him is sleeping with everybody and their brother. ANYWAYS, the plot was convoluted, but to cut it down to the basic premise, there was this one scene where two of the characters were hamming it up and trying to recall/rekindle the magic of romance that they had in the past:
Male Character Remember... [long pause] The Wrigley?
Female Character Oh Kyle [or some generic hunk name], how could I ever forget...the Wrigley?
After wiping the tears of laughter from our eyes, for some reason "The Wrigley" has entered our vocab as the most popular random humorous slang term. So if we get a parking ticket, it turns into "Remember when we didn't get parking tickets? Remember...the Wrigley?"
It's a very versatile phrase. Use it often. Just go up to somebody and, in a voice hoarse with emotion, dramatically utter the meaningful sentence: "Remember...the Wrigley?"
