w00t! I'm almost done with exams! I just have the two most difficult, actual, test-test-test-pencil-scantron exams left, Economics from 10:30-12:30 and Psychology from 1-3PM. I'm not as nervous about Psychology, since I did okay in that class, but Economics--well, a close analogy for it would be blundering about in the dark with a blindfold on, trying to pick up marbles from the floor. I am terrible at mathematics, but I *do* try, really.
Unfortunately, studying last night didn't go so well. I hope that by somebody's definition, watching "CUBE" qualifies as studying for Psychology...right? right? I mean, we've got Autism, Psychosis, Obessive-Compulsive disorder, Group Power, Obedience (a la Stanley Milgram), right? (*B.f. hated the movie so much that we had to make him forget about it because the ending was "so LAME" as he put it)....
Robin, please count this as an apology from me for not being able to chat on the payphone with you yesterday. I was basically having a panic attack in Rochambo--you know how I hate that place--and I didn't want to burden you with having to calm me down because the music in Roch was too loud, and there were too many rude people, and I just panicked---plus you were watching a good movie and I felt bad about interrupting you. So a major sorry! and I hope we can hang out maybe today to celebrate ending my exams? that might be fun!
Oh, and more Xmas goodies came in the mail yesterday from B.f.'s grandma. Like, major goodies (nice polarfleece blankets, candles, candies, holiday stuff). We actually need to clean up the apartment now because you can't find anything buried in wrapping paper or gifts! She even sent homebaked butterscotch cookies (mmm) and dammitall, I thought I could escape the "holiday curse" of gaining weight since I don't live at home anymore, but I guess the holiday curse follows you everywhere, huh?
And this morning, I had to open up at work so I had to be here by 7:45 AM. Poor B.f. gets up to give me a ride, but dammitall if he isn't cranky as hell and so, so sleepy looking. But he gets me to downtown Milwaukee--until we're about 2 blocks away from where I work, where some rude car cut him off and then the bus did. Oh man, they should NOT have done that. My precise thoughts at the time were "don't f*ck with the tired guy!" and b.f. sped up, went really fast, drove like a nut for 2 blocks, and dropped me off. I hope he gets some sleep. Well, right now is when everything is suspenseful. So I hope everything turns out okay!!
(and Vera, I tried to call Cingular yesterday but their system is so automated that they kept on rejecting my old phone number and so I couldn't even speak to a live representative, I couldn't get beyond the first stage, it was ridiculous. I can try again today, though, if I have some extra time! :)
