...was really cool. I like it. The place has a good vibe. Even though I was bombarded with new names in rapid succession--Ryan-Mary-Emily-Dana-Sisuchka (? i never quite cought that guy's name, except it sounded vaguely slavic)--I liked my whole "wham! introduction tour." I have all the official paperwork to do, which really helped me focus on what's shocking about this--that a real company wants to hire me. It makes me feel affirmed and nervous and happy all at the same time.
I also need to get more snazzy clothes. This isn't to say that I don't have nice clothes: forsooth, I am going through my closet and I have found many nice items that were hidden under sedentary deposits of stuff, but I am also getting rid of a lot of clothes that I never wear and that are totally out of style. Like, we're talking ugly shirts with coffee stains on them, huge flannel monstrosities--the worst is this polarfleece jacket i got 5 or 6 years ago that's pilly and covered with permanent cat-hair due to static. Eww. Anyways, I have deduced that besides being competent and reliable and good-natured, it helps to look better than 'business-casual.'
On the cold status: I'm a lot better but my sinuses hurt so bad that I was up until (you guessed it) 3 AM. Poor Biff is still miserable with the horrible cold although I've made him lots of tea and even got him chicken soup. Beware this cold--it is truly horrible. (Also, the weather outside is wretched as well--cold and windy up to 80 m.p.h.)
