I am at a very pricey internet cafe in Ho Chi Minh- 1cent a minute! We had breakfast at a little street stand where you sit on nursery school like plastic stools- but the coffee is amazing. we are waiting to get a bus for a tour of the Cu Chi tunnels, dug by the Viet Cong during the "American War" as they say here to infiltrate the South, then on to the Cao Dai temple to see a huge Buddhist prayer ceremony. Today it is not raining- yet! After that it's on to the Mekong Delta. love, r

Here I am all day free on the Internetterwebber! I woke up having a horrible nightmare, only to leave my apt. and get on the M train by mistake. Another nightmare! Ben and I toured the Kraine Theater yesterday, which was so dingy I imagine it wasn't too far off from the Cu Chi tunnels. So is that your new nickname now, Cu Chi Tunnels? Or what?
Hulda Dröfn wrote to me from the Salvation Army Hjalparaedisherinn (Guesthouse) in Reykjavik . She said: "I've wrote you down so the only thing you have to do it writing me back and tell me if you want it or not". The name is terrible, but everybody looks real friendly on the website, Hulda's English is as good as my Dad's and it's very popular according to Lonely Planet. Why not? I have been practicing my Icelandic.
I can't say love in icelandic yet, so I will just say: Getur pabbi þinn lúbarið mig? (That's: could your father beat me up?)
See how that goes over at the Cao Dai!
