Nutshell Kingdom: When You're Stuck in the Snow in DC and its Christmastime too
2005

Life brings sudden joys this time of year. Like unemployment! Change is a constant, life is a river, like sands through an hourglass so go ....

It was a hopeless job to begin with. I'm not sad. I disliked much of my time there. The money *sigh* was not bad, but it was a devils' bargain and besides...how much money does a Blaine need in this world?

A list is in order. Things I will do now with my sudden unemployment:

1. (starting slow) Update resume. See, this is easy.
2. Get library card. Did it yesterday. Free media is best. Take that, capitalist pig!
3. Grow a Clooney-esque beard.
4. Study Depression-era photographs and practice a more "careworn" image.
5. Soup!
6. Steal a computer from previous workplace. I still have a key.
7. Remember: it's not the quality of work for which I will be remembered; it is in the quantity of jobs wherein lies my immortality.
8. Revenge!
9. Remove sheets every morning and wash them in order to prevent me from crawling back into bed.
10. Temp!

I feel better.
