He brought her over from Vienna where she was in the Corps de Ballet to teach dance to the children in the schools. They weren't together long though. For Stephie Schtall loved men. She had as many men as you have hairs on your head. She was the only woman in Caracas to drive and have her own car. She drove from school to school torturing us. We were never good enough for Stephie Schtall. No matter how hard we tried. She lined us up like trained ponies in batas (bathrobes) and we were forced to perform and then yelled at us for being horrible. Stephie taught us many dances from the 16th century, the 14th century and the Crusades. They often come in handy when I am dancing with your mother. |
