Lisa Says: orange foods and other ponderings
it's come to my attention that babies love orange colored food (well, at least my baby). there's cheddar cheese, peaches, goldfish crackers, mandarin oranges, sweet potatoes, carrots, mac&cheese, and mangos (orangy-yellow). not only do they taste good, but when smushed into clothing, most stain. every kid's dream, if you ask me. often i look at ella's high chair tray and see a sea of orange - mac&cheese, carrots and peaches. i've got to start mixing up the colors a bit.

tell me if this still happens to you: you're driving along and someone in the other lane flashes their lights at you, and no, they don't want to harvest your spleen, but they are alerting you to the po-lice parked a little ways up the road. i find this hysterically funny. it's happened to me twice in two days. i can't quite explain why it's funny. maybe because i'm suzie speed limit and alerting me of police up ahead doesn't really help me. maybe it's because i imagine the person in front of me saying "well, damn it all! i was about to rob that mini-mart but now i can't!". maybe because it's soooo good 'ole boy network. i don't know. but it cracks me up.

if i see one more recipe with mascarpone cheese in it, i'm going to hurl. enough already!

finally, SO cute and SO toofy:
