sunshine jen: Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook
I finally got myself over to the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook this weekend. I had heard the stairs were a good workout, and the views of West LA were fantastic.
On saturday morning, I street parked on Jefferson and headed up the very nice well-maintained trail. Then, I saw the dreaded stairs.
Yep, there were a lot of them, and they all went up. I climbed and climbed and climbed. When I got to the top, I found the brand new visitors center which seemed molded into the side of the hill:
Then, I turned around and got some awesome views of West Los Angeles and Downtown:
 
And there were snails too!
I jogged down the trail and back to the car. The whole thing took less than a half hour. Yes, it was a quickie hike.
