The last time I voted was the morning of September 11, 2001. It was for the NYC mayoral election, among other things. That day's election was scrapped, of course, and the voting was held again later, but for whatever reason, didn't include me.
I wish, somehow, voting tomorrow could reverse time. When I emerge from behind the curtain, after I pull the lever on the giant metal machine, I'd step out and things would be like they once were. I know that's impossible. Yet when I vote tomorrow, that is, indeed, my hope--that things can be set right.
