Art Colony: the really weird dream I had last night Friday, January 20, 2006 › by victoria  I had this really weird dream last night. First i dreamed that I found this baby red-eared slider turtle--when they're really cute--and I was carrying it around with me in a ziploc bag and asking people to please take me to the pet store so I could get a new filter and set up a nice tank for it, because it wasn't healthy to carry it around so much. The middle of the dream is a little blurry, I'm not remembering it clearly, but it involved riding in cars a lot. Finally I ended up in a desert destination city that was like a combination of a carnival-ride-section and residential homes. I was looking out of this window high-up in a building down on the city, and wondering why it had such a bizarre main street with all these strange pseudo-homes surrounded by carnival lights. I started to get really worried about the turtle--I had been splashing it with water, and trying to make sure it was okay, but it was starting to look really sick and dessicated. Then the sun was setting and I put the turtle down the floor--it had grown some--and it was looking really bizarre--and its legs retracted completely into its shell, the color of the skin changed, and out slithered this almost rubbery-skinned pink lizard with purple holes (almost like bizarre breathing apparatus), and a strange ridge around its neck that looked monstrous. And menacing. I knew it was "bad" right away and tried to tackle the thing and maybe incapacitate it, but I couldn't, it was too strong and could fly (? it didn't look like it had any wings). But it was going to attack me--I found out at that point that the whole city was gearing up for a festival of these strange pink lizard animals, where the lizards would "sniff out" people whom they wanted to eat and then those people would be left out there for them to get--so I ran looking for a room without windows. I figured the lizards could break into a room with windows. I found a windowless bathroom and there were already 2 guys hiding in it, one in the towel closet and the other in the bathtub/shower, and the one in the bathtub/shower gave up his place hiding under a towel to me and went somewhere else. So I was crouched under a towel in a dark bathroom and that's how the dream ended. Hiding To dream that you are hiding, suggests that you are keeping some secret or withholding some information. You may not be facing up to a situation or not want to deal with an issue.
