By far, the most advanced song to dance to in my pantheon is "home", and Miles Davis (not the famous one) do I always think of you.

In medias res

"... oh that reminds me of 'home'."

"what's that song? I've never heard it."

He's incredulous. They had been having a YouTube music DJ-ing to trade songs and she had put on the one that has the lyric she liked "...wish you'd try a little harder in this tedious march of the few!"

"what kind of LCD fan are you sister? God, I wish you had Spotify."

"I guess I'm the kind of fan who sucks."

She starts to play the song, "what part of it reminds you of what I said?"

"Oh miss eagerpants, you'll hear soon enough. just listen. it's another slow build."

But is it?

She loved the astrology allusion, and she was mad about this strange creature so careless and fey that he owned a custom-tailored white three-piece suit a la colonel Sanders.

So, a decade or so later, she sits a continent side away in these United States while California burns and miles Davis lives somewhere....

jazz it up while you still can as apparently, you will never be here again.

but will we?

Does everything have to be long?
