Now that sucks enough. But what's truly sad is, right after reading the article, the first thought to enter my head was "You know, if this happened in America, you can bet there'd be an investigation to determine whether this was an act of terrorism."
Seriously. No joke. I guaran-damn-tee that if this happened in America, and you were watching the evening news, the segment would end with Diane Helmethair saying, "Authorities are still determining whether this was an act of terrorism." Or "It is unknown whether the whale had ties to Al-Qaeda." Guaran-damn-tee it.
Doesn't this piss you off, folks? An exploding whale. An act of terrorism. Yeah, I might be making this up, but seriously, don't you think it would happen, too?

Now yes, whether you're pro or anti death penalty, you can (try to) make the argument that, "hey, he committed the crime. And as the law states..." but this paragraph is what gets me:
