My niece, Violet visited and the kids tore the house inside and out.
I zoned out. I let them do it. Tents and costumes and music. Violet drug out some old C.D.'s
They jammed to Steely Dan and a "Rockin' to the 50's C.D."- some Allanis Morrisette - I refuse to apologize- and an XTC compilation C.D.
One of the XTC covers was by "Crash Test Dummies"- I liked them. I watched an old Saturday Night Live rerun recently where they were guests. So young, so geeky and dear.
I don't do this a lot with musicians- but I googled to see what'd become of them..
Lead singer is short haired now- I think that's good.
I read some lyrics to a recent song and was a bit shocked by how bitter and hardcore they've become. One song- "I Don't Care If You Don't Mind"- Second hand smoke and anal sex.
What happened?!
