smell, smell, smell.

And what is it about winters and smell? I went for breakfast at XXX Diner (which is great for food and people watching but I could do without a DJ at brunch) and all day I smelled like burnt garlic.

Then last night, at the Teitel family Chanukkha party, we left our coats in the car. Even so , I reaked of latkes, down to my bra. This morning, as I showered, latka vapour still hovered in the air.

The technicians are on strike at the CBC and they have a big bonfire outside. I waited a respectful 5 minutes before I crossed, toasting my numb-from-biking fingers by the ol union bonfire, loving the smell that made me feel like I was going camping rather than to work.

Happy Chanukkha.
