So I got a job lead for a company (quick snatch me up, I could get employed at any minute). And I called them on Friday. But thing is, I left a message, thought I sounded weak and incoherent, and erased it. Then I re-recorded it. I did this FIVE times. It is now Monday with no phone calls and I am wondering: Do you think that maybe that person was listening the whole time as I altered my voice range and diction and now thinks that I am unemployably paranoid and insecure? Or do you think that the fear that they were listening is symptomatic of paranoia and insecurity and I should accept that that is who I am and tailor my job search accordingly? Cuz if that is the case, let me know.
