I can't seem to stop watching hockey. It happened all of the sudden. On Tuesday Night, it was game seven of the Battle of Ontario (Toronto-Ottawa). It was also the last night of my copyediting class.
I ran to the student lounge three times to catch the score in one hour. Then I raced home, only to see an incredibly boring final two periods, as the Senators played listlessly, giving us a bit of a hollow victory. Not that I am complaining.
Tonight, I am going to go for drinks with some friends from work. I will not let my social life be all about Philiadelphia v. Toronto in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. I will not. I will not chose place with a tv where I can watch Brashear and Domi draw blood. I am a pacifist. Violence is wrong.
That said, Go Leafs, Go! And now, off for beers with the girls from work.
