My mother left me a voicemail at work and home she had a nightmare and she wants to make sure I am ok.
Today I called her and asked what the nightmare was about. She said that maybe one day she would tell me but she couldn't now but it was really weird: she NEVER dreams.
My mother also says she NEVER gets headaches each time she gets one.
I tell her that everyone in your dream is actually yourself dreams are not premonitions but ways of your brain of processing information and impulses. And fears.
She does not believe me. She says, inscrutably, It is kind of like when you have a cavity on one tooth but your other tooth aches?
Last night I dreamt I had a fragile animal in my hand with sharp claws that dug into me, but it was tolerable. It was a baby panda, no bigger than a tangerine so tiny and wet I took it on a rollercoaster ride I told the driver: "it is actually the cousin of a racoon" It got so scared on the ride, it had a heart attack and died in my palm and I felt terrible.
