Trillian
well, i think trillian's days are numbered. a while back i think i wrote about how i love trillian and how cool it is (it's an instant messaging / chat client that handles ICQ, MSN, AIM, IRC, and Yahoo). Apparently AOL has decided that Trillian can't access their IM network, so they are making it difficult for Trillian to connect, which means that Triliian is now posting patches to fix this every day. oh boy! i did that with MSN way back when they were trying to get into AOL's system and had to remember to get the patch everyday or else things didn't work.
on the other hand, i can understand AOL not wanting people to be able to encroach on their service.

dream
i had this dream the other night, and the only thing i remember from it is my pal matt saying, "well, the only music i really like is the Lion King soundtrack". eek.

new writers
we have a few new writers starting soon. three within hopefully the next week. and a few updates happening soon. we'll see what happens.

working for the weekend
well, i am not. i guess that is the problem right now. i applied for unemployment, and maybe that will kick in next week. this weekend is my birthday, and i am not unhappy or anything, but i am not really in the mood to celebrate. maybe i should just shut up and eat my cake.

audiogalaxy = bastards
well, they do offer a great service for free. but my god, the amount of spyware they try to install on your machine is amazing. last week i was getting pop-ups while browsing Google and was mad thinking that google was doing pop-ups... but it turned out to be that audiogalaxy installed this VX2 thing on my machine.

spears
being a guy who likes pretty girls, i find brittany spears very peculiar. mainly in the fact that she doesn't do it for me from a purely visual point of view. i just saw some picture of her on the interweb and realized that i think i pretty much dislike the way she looks.
superficial, yes.
but come on, our celebrities are only there to serve as our eye candy and entertainment, so i think this is a valid point. i don't think she is doing her job very well.

on paper, all looks fine, though. she likes to wear very little clothes, she has the traditional american 'pretty girl' features with blonde hair and enhanced bosom. big white teeth. forgets to wear underwear. she just isn't getting the job done, though.

her sense of fashion is never "on", or seems to be always just slightly "off".
maybe it's just me. but there she was dancing around with a snake, barely wearing anything, and i all i could think of was, "boy that snake must be hating all this".

part of this has to do with my hatred for the child performer / pageant circuit people, which i think brit-knee was raised as. i had the extreme displeasure of being a photographer at a few of these beauty pageant events years ago, and britnee seems to a product of that whole thing. little girls dressed in tacky, wanna-be fashionable threads with their mom's on the side barking instructions at them. britnee looks just like one of them, just older.

watch me spin this britnee thing off to it's own feature.
