I took a nap in your backseat while you drove us home. We listened to the Smiths and I read too much into it.

I took a nap on the couch at your party. You sat down next to me with your new boyfriend who none of us could compare to. He was writing a book! And we were all so young. You poured some beer in my ear and I woke up.

I took a nap in the living room but was awoken by the phone. The issue was: the ringer wasn't turned on but I could hear some sort of buzzing so I knew the phone was ringing. You didn't hear the buzzing and couldn't figure out what I was all riled up about. I couldn't tell you because I was a baby.

I took a nap on your bed and made your sleep on the floor. That doesn't sound polite, but I suspect you are like me in that you don't mind sleeping on the floor. I would have switched with you, I am sure. The cats came in and sat on me.
