Teen News: Friday in a Religious Elevator (a play in one very short act)
(Elevator doors close. Awkward silence for just a few seconds.)
Other guy: It's Friday, man. Like the shepherd said, "It's time to get the FLOCK outta here!" (begins to laugh heartily)
Me: That's a good one.
Other guy: Oh man, I love that joke. I think that's my FAVORITE joke, you know? I always use it.
Me: Yeah, because it sounds like it's gonna be nast-
Other guy: (interrupting) It's a classic, right?
Me: I suppose it is.
Other guy: I love the classic jokes. You just can't go wrong...right?
(Elevator doors open)
Other guy: Take care man.
Me: See ya.
(CURTAIN)
