Germans love Pat
I have to give props to Pat for authoring one of the most popular features on happyrobot. I would of never in my wildest hallucinogenics soaked days thought that letters to Matt Johnson about what someone had for dinner would be our big item - but it is. Kudos to you Pat.
Just don't be steppin' to Matt's eggs anytime soon - I got his back y'know.
Viva El Chubasco
We saw a bit of this movie on some cable channel the other night. One of those cable channels you didn't even know you had. It's a movie, this 'Viva El Chubasco'. The reason it is noteworthy to me is the one scene that we saw.
It only lasted about a minute, but it was a bunch of men slow dancing together in a bar - they had that Mexican cowboy look going on.
I grabbed the VCR remote and taped some of it - it is almost surreal for some reason (EricW, you must see this).
I wrote a review of it on Amazon, where I used the word 'surreal'. Maybe it will be posted by the time you look at it.

Thanks to Robin for another fine Lake Fest at the lake whose name I do not know. It was supposed to be a Labor Day, sunny get-together, but it turned out to be a cool, rainy get-together where we hung out and ate our weight in snacks and beer and watched the rain fall on the lake.
Oh, and I ate an ostrich hotdog.

SQL Robot
The happyrobot site (the one you are looking at right now) will be moving to a new host next weekend. This new host is run by our friend Scott, of 'cute ass max' fame.
having this site being able to store all our words and fun stuff in a bigger and faster database will make the happyrobot experience even 'funner'.
