The Famous Blue Raincoat

I had been going out with this guy for two years, and I was deeply in love with him. However it was an exhausting and turbulant relationship (he told me it was because he was a genius). He went away for the summer and at first I really missed him. But as the summer went on I was enjoying myself so much that I wondered if maybe I was better off without him. I decided to hold off on any decisions until I saw him again. September came and he was coming home. I had promised to pick him up at the airport, even though I don't drive. I was a little nervous so my roommate and I started in on the vodka in the late afternoon. By the time I had to leave for the ariport I was pickled. "Should I where something sexy?" I asked. Well my roommate's girlfriend decided that I should. We settled on my doublebreasted blue raincoat and a pair of cork shoes, and nothing else!
I laughed to myself in the cab on the way to the airport, and I laughed as I stood six feet tall in my shoes and my little raincoat at the arrival gate. I thought when I told him he would laugh too! It had been two months, he was probably climbing the walls for some action.
Well, he barely noticed. We got into a cab heading back downtown. I was dropping all sorts of hints that he wasn't getting. Then he asked me "Are you drunk?" Finally I came out and told him, "Yes, and I'm naked under this raincoat." No reaction.
We went back to his apartment. He hadn't had a chance to move in. The place was bare except for a bed and a few chairs. He paced around like a caged animal, chain smoking. I stood in front of the big open window over looking Park Ave. Finally he turned to me and said "Are you really not wearing anything under that coat?" "No, nothing." "I don't believe you" So I dropped the coat to the floor and stood there stark naked in the middle of the empty room. He looked at me for a second and then said "No I guess your not." And then he wandered out into the hallway.
