There was this guy who used to come into the diner that I worked at every Sunday and sit at the counter and eat french toast and get all moon eyed over me. Finally after a month of this he got up the courage to ask me out in a totally sweet way. I said yes, just because it seemed to have taken so much effort on his part. I was really heart broken at the time and didn't feel much up for dating, I was just having a lot of meaningless one night stands instead. So I phoned him up and left him a message saying that I couldn't make it.
He kept coming around, and eventually I was running into him all over the place. Finally we went for coffee and we went back to his place. He told me that after I had said yes to going on a date with him he had run home and written a song about me. He was in the midst of recording it on his 4-track when I had called to say I couldn't make it, which is why he'd missed the call. Then he pulled out his guitar and sang the song he'd written for me called "I've got a crush on you" I tried kissing him and it was like kissing my mother, so I left. The next day I was catching a train to go home for the weekend. He called and said he would go down to the station with me. When we got there he asked if he could give me a send off kiss and I said: "I don't know. I've been kissing a lot of boys lately and it's getting really confusing."
